Providers & Daycare Information
My name is Stephanie Mattice and together with my husband Russell, we are the owners and operators of the Mattice Family Daycare located in the City of Shasta Lake in beautiful Northern California. Mattice Family Daycare is a licensed, large family childcare home. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. We have been a licensed childcare home for over 20 years and plan to continue for many more years to come. As licensed providers, we are CPR, 1st Aid and Water safety certified. Mattice Family Daycare is a family setting home that includes our five children and four family pets (6 if you count the Dragons!). We have large inside and outside play areas with lots of age-appropriate toys and play structures. We enjoy outside games and activities, healthy meals and snacks, and holiday celebrations. Daily activities include arts and crafts, music and movement, story-time, Circle-time, games, table activities and free play.... we just have fun all day!
Background
Russell and I have been married 25 years and together we have 5 children. While Russell is an only child, I am the oldest of 4 siblings. I started babysitting pretty early on. During high school, I began working as a childcare assistant in a home-based daycare and I enjoyed it very much. In college, I pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education. While still attending school, I became a nanny for a wonderful family which I stayed with for several years before marrying Russell. Russ worked as a machinist until after the birth of our second child when we bought our first home and decided to open our daycare business together. I love working with my best friend every day and Russell loves being a full-time dad. Over the years we have been blessed to gain many wonderful friendships and watch their beautiful children grow as part of our daycare family.
Interview Process
To learn more about the Mattice Family and our Child Daycare, please call to schedule a sit-down interview at 530-440-9399. Interviews are held in the evening, after daycare hours. I ask that you allow at least 45 minutes to an hour to go over policies, ask any questions you may have and get to know each other. Feel free to bring the little ones with you so we can meet as well.
